The arduous task of preparing maté on the beach

This illustration captures a very Argentinian scene: me, attempting to prepare maté on a windy beach. I first sketched it in pencil on paper, then recreated it digitally in Procreate, refining the details while keeping the spontaneity of the original drawing. Both versions are shown side by side.

Text written as part of my ongoing literary studies:

Freshwater, refreshing beers, or even popsicles are the typical things you probably take to the beach. However, in my country of origin, Argentinians bring maté 🧉, a traditional hot infusion as essential as the swimsuit in itself. Hot weather or windy days are not enough reasons to stop us from bringing maté. There I was, observing my empty gourd and my loose leaves taking off.
