This illustration celebrates a sleepover with friends, in our forties, still laughing like teenagers. During a weekend getaway, we all shared a hotel room, wearing pyjamas, drinking tea, maté, chocolate, and wine, and filling the night with endless laughs.
I wanted to capture that feeling of gathering with friends in the middle of our busy adult lives, when every shared moment feels precious. This scene freezes one of those nights, a funny story, a burst of laughter, a snapshot of friendship.
It’s inspired by how simple, everyday moments can hold the kind of emotion and storytelling that shape my work.
