Coffee around the World
I decided to illustrate the coffees I’ve tried along the way: the flat white in Australia, kopi luwak in Indonesia, Cà phê sữa nóng in Vietnam, a gentle lágrima from Argentina, a tinto from Colombia and a Cuban coffee; each one telling its own story. Spiced with cinnamon, sweetened with condensed milk, brewed from a single drop, or even collected from an animal’s poop 🙊💩, every cup had a space in this grid.
I combined ink, watercolor, and colored pencil to capture texture and warmth, then printed the final illustration on cotton fabric as a kitchen cloth; turning a travel sketch into a small, everyday object that carries its own stories home.
